Chelsea New Boy Signing Out to Prove a point to Thomas Tuchel as Pre Season approaches.
Conor Gallagher enjoyed a successful loan spell at West Bromwich Albion last season in the Premier League.
In around a week’s time, Chelsea’s players will be returning to Cobham to begin their preparations for the 2021/22 season.
It has only been around four weeks since the last campaign finished for the Blues with their triumph in the Champions League final against Man City in Porto. While the players heading back on July 5 and 6 will be rested and refreshed, a large proportion of them will still be away at the Euros.
The Blues had more players called up for the summer tournament than any other club with 17 and following the group stages, it was only Billy Gilmour who had exited the competition after Scotland were dumped out before the knockout rounds.
Numbers will be sparse at Cobham then next week and a number of youngsters will be heading into training as Thomas Tuchel returns to the training ground.
The likes of Tino Livramento, Dujon Sterling, Armando Broja and Marc Guehi are expected to pitch up at the training ground next week.
Also, returning loanees such as Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ruben Loftus-Cheek should be back at Cobham to have a chance to impress Tuchel and will meet him for the first time.
We understand that midfielder Conor Gallagher, who had a successful loan spell at West Bromwich Albion last season despite their relegation, making 32 appearances, will be reporting for training at Cobham.
Sources have told Us that Gallagher has indicated he wants to impress at Chelsea in pre-season if he thinks he will get the chance to do so, but would be open to another loan move down the line if chances might look limited.
Gallagher was extremely close to joining Crystal Palace on loan this time last year, even completing a medical at Selhurst Park before West Brom swooped in.
