France forward Kylian Mbappe has responded to Antonio Rudiger’s claim that Germany should play dirty when the two face off on Tuesday.
‘Of course, they have good forwards, we have to be ready to win the one-on-one challenges,’ said Rudiger.
‘We have to be a little dirty, not always be nice or try to play nice football.
‘Against players like them, you have to throw down a marker.’
Mbappe would go on to respond to the comments by saying,
“Everyone fights with their own weapons,” he said in his France press conference.
“Ours, we play together. If that’s what their weapons are, they’ll play with their weapons and we’ll play with ours.
“We’ll stay focused in our preparation. We’ll analyse them well to see their weaknesses and strengths and concentrate as much as possible to start this tournament well.”
