Latest Chelsea news includes fan reaction to reports coming out of Spain that claim Eden Hazard is up for sale at Real Madrid, just two years after joining from the Blues.
Eden Hazard could be on the move this summer, and some Chelsea fans are debating as to whether a return to Stamford Bridge would be a good idea.
According to Marca, as per the Mirror, Real Madrid are ready to cash in on the Belgian international, just two years after he swapped Stamford Bridge for the Santiago Bernabeu.
Admittedly Hazard has found life rather difficult in the Spanish capital following his record-breaking move, racking up just 43 appearances in all competitions and scoring five goals.
Although it’s not just down to his injury record and form that could see him sold this summer.
The aforementioned report states that Real Madrid are in a difficult financial position and may need to cut their cloth this summer to balance the books and remain within the strict La Liga financial fair play rules.
Hazard, despite his recent injury woes, still remains one of their most sellable assets.
Whilst Los Blancos may not recoup much of the £88.5m fee plus add-ons they paid for the 30-year-old in the summer of 2019, getting a good portion of his reported £416k-a-week would go a long way to easing their financial worries.
And despite no indication of Chelsea being interested in resigning Hazard, supporters on Reddit have been discussing the possibility.
Judging by the responses, it’s safe to say many are split on the idea.
